My nexus 5 after latest 5.1 upgrade keeps restarting randomely and many times optimize the apps after restart. very annoying i already tried factory reset and device cache cleans, seems like an os issue.. First, please understand that the android “optimizing apps” process is completely normal, and occurs in order for your device to rebuild the dalvik-art runtime environment after an update, factory data reset, or other modification to the android os.. Ok did that. went smooth but then once again it just gets stuck at the nexus logo. waited for over 10 mins like the notes say after re flashing and nothing. so i did a restart this time it passed the nexus logo, went to android is upgrading optimizing app and gets stuck at 4 of 11. being that this is pure android are there custom roms out there. With that in mind, we want to take a look at some of the android 5.1 problems that have popped up and some of the problems that have the potential to pop up for nexus 5, nexus 4, nexus 10, nexus 7.
